Podczas Jarmarku św. Dominika w naszym kościele będzie można podziwać coś bardzo niecodziennego… Wśród zabytków sztuki gotyku, baroku i niegotyku swoje miejsce na ten wyjątowy czas znalazała kamienna rzeźba Kamili Ślefarskiej “GNIAZDO_UNIVERSUM”.
O swoim dziele tak pisze sama Autorka:
GNIAZDO_UNIVERSUM
Kamila Ślefarska, Orońsko 2025
Kamień zawsze wzbudzał we mnie czułość.
Podwalina, fundament świata. Schronienie. Gniazdo.
Twarde i mocne, a jednocześnie otulające.
transcendencji, do tajemnicy stworzenia.
NEST_UNIVERSUM
Kamila Ślefarska, Orońsko 2025
Stone has always awakened a cartain tenderness within me.
The rudiment and foundation of the world. A shelter. A nest.
Hard and strong, yet simultaneously comforting.
That was the direction of my stream of thought when I sat down to work.
After 25 years, I returned to stone carving.
The shaping of the stone led my flow deeper intuition – the shelter of the stone nest
became the cosmos itself. The mutual permeation of spheres – the harmonia mundi
– is expressed by the texture of the sculpture’s surface.
I wanted the form of the sculpture not to convey a strict and unambiguous meaning, but to be a record of a creative act which was simultaneously an attempt at approaching the gates of transcendence, the mystery of creation. It is difficult to escape the profound experience of contemplation amid the rhythm of shaping the stone and looking for the most perfect form which will allow it to exist within a space.
It is difficult to escape the feeling that I am clutching onto the tip of a thread which
is woven throughout our universe.
Were this sculpture a prayer, it would be Psalms 139:
“Your eyes saw my unformed substance”
